Former Actor, Dirt Highway Explorer, Professional Victim And Racist George Takei!!

The Noisy Room: My nomination this week goes to raving moonbat, George Takei, who frankly should have stayed in space, his last frontier. Uber Leftist actor and activist George Takei, known for his role as Hikaru Sulu in “Star Trek,” said that he and his husband are “overjoyed” by the Supreme Court’s legalization of same-sex marriage. But his shocking comments about conservative Justice Clarence Thomas were just over the rainbow on this one:

“He is a clown in blackface sitting on the Supreme Court. He gets me that angry,” Takei said, visibly flustered as he railed against the African American justice. ”For him to say slaves had dignity … I mean, doesn’t he know slaves were chained? That they were whipped on the back?”

Takei shows his idiocy in all its glory here. He was railing against Thomas’ dissent on the gay marriage ruling:

“Human dignity has long been understood in this country to be innate. When the Framers proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence that ‘all men are created equal’ and ‘endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,’ they referred to a vision of mankind in which all humans are created in the image of God and therefore of inherent worth. That vision is the foundation upon which this Nation was built.

The corollary of that principle is that human dignity cannot be taken away by the government. Slaves did not lose their dignity (any more than they lost their humanity) because the government allowed them to be enslaved. Those held in internment camps did not lose their dignity because the government confined them. And those denied governmental benefits certainly do not lose their dignity because the government denies them those benefits. The government cannot bestow dignity, and it cannot take it away.”

Thomas, who is unarguably a brilliant litigator and a great man, made a compelling dissent on the ruling. It was epic. Takei’s comments were just profoundly biased and stupid. He called Thomas an “embarrassment” who doesn’t deserve to serve on the Supreme Court, citing in a separate op-ed his own experience living in an internment camp as a child. He would have done better to actually study constitutional law and parse his words more judiciously rather than coming unglued in a Liberal frenzy of incoherence and uninformed lunacy. I agree with one young black conservative woman out there who did a video after the Supreme Court ruling in answer to racist Liberals: “It takes a certain kind of racist to decide that black people can’t have their own opinion.” For being an unconstitutional racist and bigot, Takei has earned a Golden Weasel. Damn it, Jim! He’s earned it!!

Puma By Design: One of actor and member of the gay gestapo, George Takei’s pink jackboots ended up in his mouth after missing the throat of Supreme Court Justice, Clarence Thomas, last week when Takei went on a racist rant against Thomas for his dissenting opinion in the Supreme Court ruling on Obergefell v. Hodges legalizing same sex marriage in all fifty states.

GEORGE TAKEI: “He is a clown in blackface sitting on the Supreme Court. He gets me that angry. He doesn’t belong there. And for him to say, slaves have dignity. I mean, doesn’t he know that slaves were in chains? That they were whipped on the back. If he saw the movie 12 Years a Slave, you know, they were raped. And he says they had dignity as slaves or – My parents lost everything that they worked for, in the middle of their lives, in their 30s. His business, my father’s business, our home, our freedom and we’re supposed to call that dignified? Marched out of our homes at gun point. I mean, this man does not belong on the Supreme Court. He is an embarrassment. He is a disgrace to America.”

In fact, Takei’s rant was so reprehensible that CNN’s Communist race baiter, Marc Lamont Hill, criticized Takei for his “black face” rant on CNN and Twitter (see below) while making it clear that Hill was in no way standing up for Thomas considered by Hill and other Blacks on the left to be a sellout to his race and the Progressive plantation.

On Friday Takei walked back his remarks by posting an apology on his Facebook page (excerpt below):

I recently was asked by a reporter about Justice Clarence Thomas’s dissent in the marriage equality cases, in which he wrote words that really got under my skin, by suggesting that the government cannot take away human dignity through slavery, or though internment. In my mind that suggested that this meant he felt the government therefore shouldn’t be held accountable, or should do nothing in the face of gross violations of dignity. When asked by a reporter about the opinion, I was still seething, and I referred to him as a “clown in blackface” to suggest that he had abdicated and abandoned his heritage. This was not intended to be racist, but rather to evoke a history of racism in the theatrical arts. While I continue to vehemently disagree with Justice Thomas, the words I chose, said in the heat of anger, were not carefully considered.

Takei’s apology is nothing more than quintessential dribble typical of Marxist antagonists whose jackboot of bigotry and intolerance ends up in their mouths instead of on the neck of their targets.

Takei went on the racist rant Monday during an interview in Phoenix, in response to Thomas’ comments regarding the Supreme Court decision on gay marriage:

Congress Weasel Alan Grayson!!

The Independent Sentinel: With so many weasels to choose from, Alan Grayson came up as my winner. I based that on his July 4th article in Huff Po in which he declared his new leftist Declaration of Independence.

He wants freedom from bigotry, the narrow-minded, the greedy, misinformation, hubris, fake trade et al. He has absolutely no idea what this country is about.

Thanks Alan, but no thanks! Most of us would like freedom from people like you however.


DHS Head And Illegal-Alien-Enabler-In-Chief Jeh Johnson

JoshuaPundit: San Francisco, like several other cities in California and in Blue States everywhere label themselves ‘Sanctuary Cities.’ That means that they openly break U.S. law and do not cooperate with ICE or immigration authorities in any way. They will not arrest illegal aliens even if they have deportation orders against them, they will not notify ICE when criminal aliens are released from prison or cooperate in any way. And the Obama regime allows them to do so.

Last week in San Francisco, there was a cold blooded murder of this woman, Kathryn Steinle:

Her murderer, Francisco Sanchez, shot her in the back for no apparent reason. He’s already confessed, and has a long criminal history in America. In fact, he was actually on probation when he committed his latest crime. And here’s the kicker… he’s been deported five times before, but simply came back since we have no borders, and was never turned over to ICE because of San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy.

When reporters asked Jeh Johnson why he wasn’t cracking down on this blatant disregard for federal law, he simply played weasel and dodged the question, simply admitting there’s ‘been some resistance in some communities.’ The real resistance is in Washington DC, where Jeh Johnson and his boss are essentially doing nothing to protect our borders.

And this is just one instance, but it gives the lie to their statements that they’re concentrating on criminals. Currently, according to the DOJ’s own statistics, 17% of the population in our Federal prisons are illegal aliens, an amazing statistic. I have no figures for those in state prisons, but thousands of illegal aliens who have committed serious felonies have simply been released by the Feds.

In fact, over 121 murders have been attributed to illegal aliens released by President Obama and Jeh Johnson – that we know about.

Kathryn Steinle and others like her are simply sacrifices to President Obama’s plan to radically change the American electorate.

A man with any honor whatsoever would simply resign rather than go along with these policies. Instead, Jeh Johnson is content to follow orders and be a Good German. And for that, I think he deserves some special recognition.

(Note… this week’s question was partially inspired by the following video. While it was admittedly almost certainly cherry picked, I don’t think it’s necessarily unrepresentative after years of what passes for politically correct public education.)

Don Surber: The Fourth of July means freedom from the government. The independence in Independence Day is the ability to tell the president to go to hell. Sadly, we seem to be losing this.

The Right Planet: The people who boarded leaky ships on a dangerous passage across an unforgiving ocean in hope of a better life in the New World did not embark on their dangerous voyage expecting to find free healthcare, social security, food stamps and subsidized housing upon their arrival. They simply wanted to escape tyranny and pursue their own lives as the say fit—come what may. They preferred to try and eek out an existence in an unknown land, rather than continue to tolerate and live under the oppressive rule of monarchs and tyrants. To them, it was better to sacrifice their blood, sweat and tears in the pursuit of freedom, than to toil under “quiet servitude” to an all-powerful State.

There was no government to speak of when the pilgrims first arrived in the New Land. But, if you listen to people like Barack Obama, et al., you might be left with the impression that before the earth was ever formed, there was government. “You didn’t build that,” sayeth dear leader.

I truly believe if the liberals of today were to write their own “declaration,” they would call it the Declaration of Codependence.

The Independent Sentinel: It’s fireworks, BBQs, Sousa marches, and outdoor grilling. Independence Day is also the day I pray for all those Patriots who came before and to all those who serve today and who make my freedom possible.

How can anyone ever thank people who sacrificed so much for us.

Since the Marxist in the White House began his treasonous assault on our Constitution and our freedoms, it means so much more to me. It’s now a responsibility to fight for the rule of law and for freedom whatever way I can and as long as I can.

Next: l actually prepared a July 4th post, visiting my July 4 yesterdays. Excerpt:

I mourn for the July 4ths of yesterday.

My mother would get us up early on the morning of July 4th. After breakfast, she would dress us in either red and white or blue and white outfits. We each had an American flag pin appended to the lapel of our blouses and shirts. If there were no pins then we carried an American flag. After all, it was July 4th and a grand day to be an American.

Those were marvelous times. Even as children, we acknowledged the U. S. Constitution, our founding fathers and those who served thereby securing us the freedom and liberties to celebrate Independence Day. Young, old, regardless of ethnicity, all recognized and carried the significance of the day with us as we came together with family, friends and neighbors…..

Mark Dice’s video is proof that for many the significance of Independence Day is lost on far too many.

During my travels Saturday, I saw too few American flag lapel pins and flags being carried in hand. The children unless informed by their parents or grandparents are clueless. They believe that Independence Day is about firecrackers and hot dogs only.

Noticeable is the “increased” visibility for the first time since 9/11 of American flags in windows and on porches (in my neighborhood and surrounding areas). This leads me to believe that even in NYC, people sense that something is wrong.

JoshuaPundit: What I’m going to say next may or may not make sense to many people. Take it for what it’s worth to you.

This Fourth coincides with the 17th of Tammuz in the Hebrew calender. It’s a lunar calender, so the dates change every year. Among other things, this is the date that the Babylonians conquered Israel and destroyed the First Temple, as well as the day the Romans breached the walls of Jerusalem and destroyed the Second Temple in 70 CE. It is ordinarily a day of prayer and fasting, which occurred Sunday, the 5th, since fasting is prohibited on the Jewish Sabbath.

It’s also worth noting that the 17th of Tammuz also coincided with July Fourth in 1776.

I personally see in this a message to us. I believe the wall of our liberties and our Constitution have been breached, and I noted the air of uneasiness among many Americans this year on Independence Day…a sort of tired resignation. I think we’re in for some rough times and stormy weather.

1776 was also the start of a period of great turmoil in America, as those committed to liberty fought for it, not only against the British but against many of their fellow countrymen who liked the status quo just fine.

I have noted a lot of what I call ‘rah rah talk’ among many commentators, urging people to man up and ‘fight’ against the usurpation of our liberties..with zero details or practical suggestions. Those details and practical solutions are exactly what’s needed if real political change is to be accomplished and our Republic reaffirmed, and what we should be concentrating on right now.

I emphasize political change, because I still believe such change can still – just barely- be accomplished by lawful means,

If July Fourth means anything, it means channeling the spirit of our ancestors and facing adversity with the same willingness to risk our lives, fortunes and sacred honor. If we do that, we will win.

This inclination to do right has been virtually unique among the nations of the world – and for this very reason – America has been totally misunderstood. How could a nation so rich, so successful actually, really be so unselfish and so caring?

Unconvincing (and either historically igno – or deceitfully dishonest – either term will do) critics cry Great Satan must have darker motives! America must be seeking imperium – to dominate everyone else, suck up all the oil, to trade and rob blind for America’s selfish purposes.

People from more grasping, less idealistic societies find it nigh impossible to accept that America honestly believes that giving everyone opportunity is the real roadmap for abundance and happiness everywhere – not merely in the magical Great Satan.

Americans honestly believe that securing other people’s freedom is actually like the best guarantee that America can keep her own.

Great Satan does not want to dominate the world. Americans want to live in peace and hope other people will too.

Great Satan will go out into the world, redress errors, stop uncool unacceptable behavior, to first challenge, then annihilate threats to our liberty.

Creative destruction is Great Satan’s middle name. It is her natural function, for she is the one truly revolutionary country in the world for more than 2 centuries.
She does it automatically, and that is precisely why creeps and tyrants hate her guts, and are driven to attack her. An enormous advantage, despots fear her, and oppressed peoples want what she offers: freedom.

Laura Rambeau Lee, Right Reason: Growing up, every Fourth of July our family traveled and celebrated the holiday with a big family reunion which revolved around the Kutztown State Fair in Pennsylvania. The fair showcases Pennsylvania Dutch and Amish tradition, culture, foods, and crafts. My family goes back to the early 1700s and the first of my ancestors who arrived in the colonies fought in the Revolutionary War.

The Fourth of July fills me with wonder at the sacrifices of these early settlers who traveled from Germany to find a new life, not knowing exactly what they would find once they reached these shores. I am filled with pride knowing they were a part of this country’s founding. Their legacy of freedom lives on in me, and in my children and grandchildren.

We have been blessed with three grandchildren, and as I look into their eyes I see my posterity. It is because of them I am resolved to do whatever it takes to assure their future remains secure and that they will be able to live in a free America. To do nothing, to say nothing, to not teach them about their proud heritage and the history of the United States is unacceptable. I am reminded of the words of President Ronald Reagan: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” It is up to us, parents and grandparents, to make sure our children understand our history, the history of humankind, civilization, and how our republic came to be. It begins with education, and this is where we must focus our attention.

This week’s winning essay, The Noisy Room’sThe End Of Constitutional Government is a tour de force… her reaction to last week’s Supreme Court decisions. Here’s a slice:

It’s been an historic week and although I am not surprised by the Supreme Court decisions, they saddened me beyond belief. I have sadly come to the conclusion that many of my colleagues are correct… our Constitutional form of government is now dead and Obama’s transformative ‘change’ is all but complete.

Things are now snowballing and it is more than most Americans can take or bear. From gay marriage and the ensuing infringement on free speech and our religious rights, to enforced Obamacare, to forced wealth redistibution in our neighborhoods, to the EPA run amok… our freedoms are being absolutely nullified. States are now saying they won’t comply with the EPA on coal and who can blame them? Americans will get very dangerous when they are hungry and cold. And then there is the Iran deadline, which is this weekend. Instead of holding their feet to fire, we are actually giving Iran nuclear reactors while they shout, “Death to America!” in their parliament. Insanity is the norm now. Then there is the increased Islamic State threat on our southern border and the attacks on our power grid coming down the pike. It’s surreal and all instigated, manipulated and planned for by our government – the ultimate enemy from within.

Adding to the tyrannical frenzy of the aftermath of the mass shooting in South Carolina, evidently America is cool with censoring her own history, but wants to hang on to the likes of Nazi Germany and bloody communist regimes. Satanism is still in vogue it would seem as well… but if you are a lover of the Confederate flag, well, you should be summarily burned at the stake. Let’s not leave out Stalin or concentration camps as making the ‘cool’ list either. And it goes without saying that Che Guevara is tres chic. Prohibition of thought and our history is all the rage now. No doubt next on the censorship bandwagon… burning books and thought police. Oh, wait…

The flaming lynch mob mentality of Progressives is burning through businesses across the former land of the free. They are feeling immense pressure to conform and be politically correct. None of them seem to have a spine. This is insane. Not only are they banning all Confederate flags and calling for Civil War statues to be taken down (which is erasing American history), they are getting rid of General Lee, an orange Dodge Charger from “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Walmart and Amazon have stopped selling anything having to do with the Confederate flag, but Walmart is still selling Che Guevara shirts, as well as Castro memorabilia and Iranian flags. Apple just removed Civil War Games from their App Store. South Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama and Kentucky are all removing Confederate flags as well. It’s an all you can eat buffet of political correctness feeding a ‘get em!’ move by Progressives. Now, they want to ban Gone With The Wind. We have literally plummeted down the rabbit hole and are sipping tea with the Mad Hatter. The Constitution is now being replaced with censorship and regulation – it’s incomprehensible.

At least one good thing came out of the Supreme Court this week. During the Great Depression, the government decided that prices paid to farmers were too low and undertook to correct the problem by limiting their output. It was a fascist move then and is still one now. It is sheer theft. Marvin and Laura Horne decided not to play that game and took their beef all the way to the Supreme Court – raisin hell, so-to-speak. And they won on Monday! The feds claimed they owed $700,000 because they would not surrender 47% of their crop for over a decade to the government with no compensation. Not even the left-leaning Supremes could let that one slide.

The Raisin Administrative Committee, which operates under the supervision of the USDA, sells or gives away the raisins it takes, with the proceeds going to cover its operating costs, storage fees and promotional efforts abroad. If any money is left, the farmers get some of it. If not, they receive nada. Looks like the Road to Serfdom has been detoured on this issue, at least for now. The unconstitutional theft being imposed on farmers such as the Hornes is no more. But at least these raisin farmers can get back to raising their crops and taking care of business – liberal fascism has moved on to the next hot topic.

Then there was the ultimate betrayal by Justice Roberts and the ruling in favor of Obamacare this week. The ruling stomped all over state’s rights and bent over backwards to reinterpret the Obamacare statute in favor of federal exchanges. “The somersaults of statutory interpretation they [the Justices of the Supreme Court] have performed …will be cited by litigants endlessly, to the confusion of honest jurisprudence,” concludes Justice Antonin Scalia in his dissent, joined by Justices Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito. “And the cases will publish forever the discouraging truth that the Supreme Court of the United States favors some laws over others, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to uphold and assist its favorites.”

Yes, once again, It’s time to present this week’s statuette of shame, the Golden Weasel!!

Every Tuesday, the Council nominates some of the slimiest, most despicable characters in public life for some deed of evil, cowardice or corruption they’ve performed. Then we vote to single out one particular Weasel for special mention, to whom we award the statuette of shame, our special, 100% plastic Golden Weasel. This week’s nominees were all particularly slimy and despicable, but the votes are in and we have a unanimous winner… the envelope please…

The ruling stomped all over state’s rights and bent over backwards to reinterpret the Obamacare statute in favor of federal exchanges. “The somersaults of statutory interpretation they [the Justices of the Supreme Court] have performed …will be cited by litigants endlessly, to the confusion of honest jurisprudence,” concludes Justice Antonin Scalia in his dissent, joined by Justices Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito. “And the cases will publish forever the discouraging truth that the Supreme Court of the United States favors some laws over others, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to uphold and assist its favorites.”

“So it rewrites the law to make tax credits available everywhere,” he dissents. “We should start calling this law SCOTUScare.” The Court’s interpretation is “absurd,” Justice Scalia opined. And right he is. Scalia is a brilliant legal mind and he is horrified by the Leftist turn of the court. This must tear his soul apart. This was simply a political power play and one has to wonder, as I have before, if Chief Roberts has skeletons in his closet that are being used to sway his opinion.

This partisan ruling will have wide-ranging, catastrophic ramifications for America. The majority opinion states that “The combination of no tax credits and an ineffective coverage requirement could well push a State’s individual insurance market into a death spiral.” And it inevitably will. Which in turn, will usher in single-payer healthcare. It’s coming.

“It is implausible that Congress meant the Act to operate in this manner,” Justice John Roberts writes for the majority. Really? Because it looks entirely plausible to me. In fact, choreographed.

Justice Scalia notes that these Justices are “presuppos[ing] the availability of tax credits on both federal and state Exchanges.” In layman terms, that means that federal tax credits that have already been given to millions of people must continue. Along with the tax credits will come higher premiums, crappier healthcare, death panels, higher deductibles and part-time employment as the national norm.

This is tyranny and what you are seeing here is the dissolution of the three branches of constitutional government we are based upon. We now have one executive behemoth branch that is drunk with power and careening out of control, right on schedule. Justice Roberts is a treasonous weasel, whose legacy will include the ending of our Republic as we have known it.


You know, this was an interesting week for Justice Roberts. One day, he’s rewriting ObamaCare for the second time, clearly disregarding what the law said and substituting what he thought the law ought to say.

A few days later he’s writing the minority opinion on same sex marriage, harshly criticizing the Court for – wait for it – legislating from the bench!

Those whom characterize Justice Roberts as lacking in testosterone have it all wrong. It takes real Weasel with cojones to criticize the Court for doing what you did just a few days ago!

The truth of the matter is, like almost all Weasels, John Roberts looks out for Number One. There’s suspicion that the Obama regime has something on him and given whom Barack Obama is and the amount of spying and data collection that’s been going on, that’s not at all an unreasonable scenario. Or it could be he’s being intimidated or bribed in some other way. But he’s not an idiot and for him to make such a hypocritical switcheroo like that, the simplest and most obvious explanation is that he was told beforehand that his vote wasn’t needed to impose same sex marriage on America. That way, he could come out with a dissent that criticized exactly what he himself did in the ObamaCare ruling, to try and salvage some of his credibility as a PR move. It didn’t work of course, but weasels live by that old saying about dogs barking, but the caravan moving on.

The damage he and his cohorts whom voted to judicially rewrite ObamaCare, redefine marriage and lay the ground for attacks on the First Amendment isn’t at all obvious to those cheering on the New Order, but that damage is severe and will last for some time. Roberts probably realizes it, at least intellectually. But the fact remains that on ObamaCare, he did what he did anyway. And I’m sure that had Justice Kennedy swung the other way and Roberts’ vote was needed to impose same sex marriage, Roberts would have voted that way.

In any event, he performed like a trained seal. He did what he was supposed to and after all, he has a lifetime appointment. And of course, a well-earned Golden Weasel.
